§ 54-166. Grant applications.

  • (a)

    For the purpose of receiving and evaluating grant applications under this article, the county chamber of commerce is hereby designated as the economic development representative for the city.

    (b)

    Any business relocating to or expanding within the city may file an application, on a form approved by the commission, for grant funds with the county chamber of commerce. The chamber shall review the application and make recommendations to the commission as to whether or not the grant application should be approved and, if so, the award amount and any conditions to be placed on the award.

    (c)

    The county chamber of commerce shall provide the commission with quarterly reports detailing new jobs created and an analysis of the performance of the program.
